Visitor Information Center
Located on Hwy 42 (Lake Street) and overlooking Lake Michigan, the Algoma Visitor Center is built on a public park. This award winning structure was built by the Chamber with all volunteer labor.
The Algoma Visitor Center is staffed year round by a group of volunteers from around the community – many are lifelong residents. They are happy to provide you with all the information you need to enjoy your stay here in Algoma. From attractions to accommodations, dining, fishing, things to see and do, and how to get there and more.
The Algoma Visitor Center is open daily from May through October: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
In the off-season, the Algoma Visitor Center is open Monday and Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Center will be closed, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, January through April.
Stop in and say hello! You can also pick up brochures from individual businesses, menus from area restaurants, the Algoma Historic Walking Tour guide/brochure, information for new residents and enjoy our million-dollar view of Lake Michigan from the wrap around deck. The Algoma Visitor Center is the perfect spot to take those memorable photos!
